A common problem associated to rising damp in concrete floors is the failure or lack of an existing damp proof membrane under the floor. The common answer to this problem is to dig the floor up and replace the exising damp proof membrane with a new plastic membrane then to relay the concrete slab. This method is very costly and extremely invasive and can cost over £90 per m².

Permagard have developed a new answer for this problem which is quick to lay, requires no intrusive mechanical work and is simply brush or roller applied in 2 - 3 coats and can then be tiled or carpeted over. Epoxy Liquid Damp Proof Membrane is a high build water resisitant epoxy floor coating that is applied to the clean concrete, once set it creates a new damp proof membrane which will hold back residual damp in the concrete slab.

This method of creating a new damp proof membrane will save hours of labour, reduce costs for example skip hire, concrete deliveries,  redecoration costs, it will also reduce the mess caused and  time on site will be dramatically cut and will also mean the job is finished quicker. Generally a new damp proof membrane can be laid in 2 days and will be ready for subsequent floor coatings on the third day.
