External walls of buildings are prone to deflection or bowing, usually caused by a lack of lateral restraint by intermediate floors, combined with the downwards force of the roof. A very effective, and universally accepted way of providing a solution to this problem is to use the floor diaphram to restrain the wall, by introducing an improved mechanical connection between the wall and the floor. The Armlock and Gablelock provide a fast and reliable connection between the floor diaphram and wall, without the need for additional noggings or other carpentry work.
