Water-Check is a concentrated silicone siloxane complex which converts to a milky micro emulsion on dilution with water. The diluted product is an excellent general purpose, broad spectrum silicone water repellent for all types of masonry surfaces including alkaline substrates. Water-proofing and water shedding / beading properties develop as the product dries and cures rapidly over 48 hours.
Dilution: Water-Check concentrate is supplied in standard 1 litre packs which dilutes and emulsifies in tap water to make 12.5 litres of ready for use silicone complex micro emulsion. NOTE that although the concentrate is storage stable for 6-12 months, diluted product MUST be used and applied on the day of dilution. Diluted product becomes rapidly deactivated so make up only sufficient product for use on the day. Pour concentrate carefully into water and mix gently.
Application: Mask, protect or cover all non target surfaces such as glass windows before commencing treatment. Product after curing is difficult to remove following a permanent cure, usually within 2-3 days. Wash any splashes or spills immediately with soapy water. Diluted ready for use product should be applied liberally to refusal in at least two coats, wet on wet to the masonry surface. Coverage typically 1-2 sq mts per litre dependant on absorbency. Suitable applicators include a very low pressure coarse spray, brush or lambs wool roller. Avoid spray, wind drift, drips, runs etc. onto glass or other non target surfaces. Rinse / clean applicator equipment promptly after use with detergent / water.
