Details
Rust Inhibitor M is a highly water repelling, alkali resistant, polymer dispersion modified with active rust inhibitors. The ready-to-use grout consisting of Rust Inhibitor M mixed with Betofix RM (fast setting coating) or Fine Repair Mortar guarantees long term corrosion protection to a high degree on exposed, de-rusted reinforcement steel.
System I – fast setting: Exposed reinforcement steel should be de-rusted to sound metal (SA 2 ½ ). Then mix 2 parts by weight Betofix RM with 1.1 parts by weight Rust Inhibitor M until homogenous and a brushing consistency has been achieved.
Volume ratio: 2 parts by volume dispersion + 2.5 parts by volume powder. The reinforcement steel is completely coated with the fresh corrosion inhibiting grout at least 1 mm thick. After at least 30 minutes a second coat of the fresh corrosion inhibiting grout is applied as described above. After just 30 further minutes waiting time, the broken out area can be closed with Remmers Betofix RM.
System II – normal setting: After the reinforcement steel has been de-rusted, mix 2.5 parts by weight Remmers Fine Repair Mortar with 1 part by weight Rust Inhibitor M until homogenous and a brushing consistency has been achieved.
Volume ratio: 1 part by volume dispersion + 1.5 parts by volume powder. The reinforcement steel is completely coated with the fresh corrosion inhibiting grout at least 1mm thick. After approx. 3 hours a second coat of the fresh corrosion inhibiting grout is applied. After 3 further hours of waiting time the broken out area can be closed with Remmers Coarse Repair Mortar.
