Preparing the Substrate
All wall and floor substrates must be sound, load-bearing, and free of substances with a separating effect as well as loose, soft material. The substrate should be cleaned and old coatings removed from the entire surface, e.g. by mist blasting (Rotec), also mechanically in small, hard to
reach areas.

Pre-seal partial leaking areas with water inrush in masonry work with Kiesol and Aida Waterstop. If there is water inrush in cracks inconcrete and/or the floor connection, inject with PUR Injection Resin otherwise use PUR Injection Resin 2K.
Depending on moisture content and absorbency, the substrate may need to be pre-wet. Highly absorbent masonry work (e.g. dry sand-lime brick) should be pre-wet several times in advance!Adhesive grout and Waterproofing Filler should always be applied to matt damp but not shiny wet substrates.

Waterproofing and restoring
Waterproofing Filler is a system product for fast waterproofing and restoration and is used in combination with Sulfatex Grout Rapid and Kiesol.

Priming: Kiesol diluted 1:1 with water is sprayed over the entire surface of the matt damp, clean substrate, avoiding excess material running down. After a short waiting time (at least 15 min.), work can be continued.

Adhesive grout: Mix Sulfatex Grout Rapid which is used as an adhesive grout, wet-on-wet, under Waterproofing Filler!

Repair filler: Depending of the desired consistence, pour 3.5 to 3.8 litres of water into a clean container and add 25 kg Waterproofing Filler. Mix intensively with a mixer/mixing tool for approx 3 minutes until homogenous. For partial amounts, mix in a ratio of 1 part by volume water to 4.5 parts by volume powder. Allow to mature for 2 minutes; then stir again until a smooth consistence proper for filling has been achieved.

Repairing: In indented areas, e.g. broken out stone, chased out soft joints, missing areas, gravel pockets or coarse surface texture, brush on Sulfatex Grout Rapid as a bonding layer. Then, wet-on wet, fill with Waterproof Filler(even several centimetres thick).

The repaired areas can be immediately levelled with a float, trowel, grated scraper or jointing iron to achieve a closed surface for the following layer of waterproofing.

Place a sealing cove, wet-on-wet, along the wall-floor connection over the fresh layer of adhesive grout made of Waterproofing Filler.The quantity of water to be added should be observed! When closing individual areas to be repaired and for the production of a sealing cove, we recommend using a more stable mortar (3.5 litres of water/bag) and a somewhat smoother consistence for filling rough surfaces (3.8 litres of water/bag).

The surface can be waterproofed with Sulfatex Grout Rapid after just 15-30 minutes (see the Technical Information Sheet for Sulfatex Grout Rapid).
Waterproofing Filler is a fast restoration product and the individual working sequences must be therefore coordinated with the working time (30-45 minutes, depending on temperature).
