Epoxy Primer - 2.5kg
Epoxy FAS 100 is a very high quality, high strength epoxy primer, designed for use as an epoxy primer for application onto nearly all surfaces. This epoxy primer can be applied to concrete where there is a degree of moisture or oil contamination and over old bitumen coated floors. Epoxy FAS 100 can also be used on ceramic, glazed and terrazzo tiles. The product is so strong it will even stick under water.
This all purpose epoxy primer should be used on surfaces which are damp or have slight oil contamination before further coatings are applied. The second coat application should be within 24 - 48 hours of laying the first coat to create a chemical bond between coats.
Using Epoxy Primer
Epoxy FAS 100 makes a perfect primer before the application of various epoxy floor coatings, for example our Liquid Epoxy Damp Proof Membrane or Epoxy Floor Coatings. When used in conjunction with Liquid Epoxy Damp Proof Membrane, it acts as one of the coats required. For example, if you require two coats of Liquid Epoxy Damp Proof Membrane then you could apply one coat of FAS 100 and one coat of Epoxy Damp Proof Membrane. This will create your new DPM over a contaminated floor.
How to mix the two component Epoxy Primer
Remmers Epoxy Primer comes in a multi chamber bag. In the below video, you can see the simple process of mixing the two components together:
Epoxy FAS 100 can be blinded with quartz aggregate to create a key for self-levelling compounds, screeds, tiles and other products that require a high quality key.
Two coats of Epoxy FAS will provide a genuine damp proof membrane on the substrate (see specification).
- High adhesion to substrate
- Moisture tolerant
- Can be used over bitumen and oil residue*
- Extreme sticking power
- All purpose epoxy primer

Good product, not sure on packaging. No instructions on how packaging works. It works, so very good product. However who thought it a good idea to pack the product in a double plastic bag with hardener at one end and epoxy at the other, without instructions that the centre is removable? I didn't realise that until I had cut the corner of the hardener bag after pouring out the resin. Why not two tins like the other products?

Permagard Reply:Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, Greg. We really appreciate the feedback. It’s our aim at Permagard to always improve our products so this type of feedback is particularly useful. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced with the Epoxy packaging but glad the product worked for you. As the product is manufactured by Remmers, we are unable to do anything about the packaging which is designed to reduce waste for the contractor. We have contacted Remmers to get a clear easy to use mixing guide made up so we can send this out with every one of the packages. we have also created a quick video of how to mix the multi chamber bags which is now online. We hope this helps and we appreciate your feed back.
