Masonry Facade Cream
PermaSEAL Facade Cream is an easy to use exterior water repellent, designed to protect the outside of your home from driving rain, penetrating damp and frost damage. This high quality water-based facade cream is ideal for brick, stone and unpainted render surfaces.
Our Facade Cream contains a high concentration of active ingredients (silane and siloxanes). Once the cream is applied, the active ingredients soak into the wall to form an invisible barrier against water penetration. We’ve designed the product to allow your property to still ‘breathe’ whilst offering outstanding protection from penetrating damp.
Benefits of PermaSEAL Facade Cream
This non-toxic and safe facade cream delivers a wide range of benefits. They include:
Cream consistency for deeper protectionPermaSEAL Facade Cream has been designed as a cream so it stays in contact with the surface longer, allowing for deeper penetration of the active ingredients. This is particularly important when it comes to bricks as they are slower to absorb. With liquid-based waterproofing products, you always get some run-off and only limited contact time with the surface making them less effective.
Long-lasting facade creamPermaSEAL Facade Cream protects your home for 20+ years. It achieves this long-lasting protection due to the high concentration of the active ingredients and its ability to penetrate deep into the wall.
Improves energy efficiencyas well as waterproof masonry, our Facade Cream reduces heat lost through your walls by up to 28%. By helping insulate your home, you will reduce your energy usage, cutting bills and helping reduce your impact on the environment.
Prevents freeze/thaw damageby preventing water from entering into the brick or substrate means that you minimise the risk of freeze/thaw damage. This is when water enters your exterior surface, freezes in cold weather, expanding, and then thaws leaving cracks / damage etc
Facade Cream for Brickwork
PermaSEAL Facade Cream offers particularly reliable brick waterproofing due to its cream consistency. Bricks have a slower rate of absorbency compared to other surfaces, so you want a Facade Cream that will not run-off. This longer contact time with the surface allows the active ingredients to absorb into your brickwork and provide protection.
Applying a Facade Cream
PermaSEAL Facade Cream is easy to apply by brush, roller or airless spray equipment. And it only requires a single coat. You can apply it straight from the bucket too!
The creamy consistency means you don’t get run-off (like you often get with liquid-based masonry water repellents). This also means it can be applied overhead.
Our PermaSEAL Facade Cream leaves an initial white coating, showing you exactly where you have applied it. This layer disappears approximately 60 minutes later.
Preparing for facade cream application
The substrate must be in sound condition, and clean and dry before you apply the PermaSEAL Facade Cream. Any structural defects such as cracks including cracked joints, as well as rising damp and hygroscopic moisture must be effectively dealt with first. Remove any loose debris and mortar, as well as dust.
You want to apply our Facade Cream on a day when rain isn’t forecast and temperatures are between 10 and 25 degrees celsius.
Note: we recommend applying the facade cream to a small trial area, to check penetration and surface compatibility before tackling the whole project.

What is the coverage of PermaSEAL Facade Cream?
Depending on the porosity of the substrate, the coverage of PermaSEAL Facade Cream in one coat is approximately 0.15 - 0.20 l/m².
How long does it take PermaSEAL Facade Cream to dry?
PermaSEAL Facade Cream becomes rain-proof quickly, approximately 60 - 120 minutes after application. However the penetration of the active ingredients continues for 7-10 days.
How long does it take PermaSEAL Facade Cream to cure?
PermaSEAL Facade Cream is resistant to rain after just 2-4 hours. Curing and the development of the beading effect will take 2-6 weeks depending on the substrate and the drying conditions.
What is the best facade cream?
The best facade cream depends on your requirements. For many customers, our PermaSEAL Facade Cream is the best. The cream consistency and high percentage of active ingredients means it’s a reliable waterproofer for most facades. For professionals that require the highest specification, you will want to opt for Microshield Ultra Masonry Waterproofing Cream.
Can PermaSEAL Facade Cream be applied over painted surfaces/other coatings?
You cannot apply PermaSEAL Facade Cream over paints or other coatings as the existing coating will inhibit the penetration of the cream into the surface, making the treatment ineffective.
What substrates can you NOT apply PermaSEAL Facade Cream?
PermaSEAL Facade Cream is not suitable for non-absorbent substrates such as painted surfaces, pebble-dash, marble, high density, concrete, glazed brick and engineering brick. It is suitable for sandstone and limestone.
