Cavity drain membranes for walls and floors are a key component of a cavity drain system, along with a sump pump and basement drainage channels. They can be installed in new build basements and retrofit conversions, achieving a fully maintainable Type C waterproofing system. Once fixed to internal walls and floors, the membranes efficiently channel water ingress to the drainage channels below. This protects the space and any possessions from water damage.

Membranes designed to take different finishes

We manufacture PermaSEAL® cavity drain membranes to suit different finishes. They can accommodate renders, dot and dab plasterboard, batten and board or be used behind false walls.

• PermaSEAL 8 Mesh Membranes - designed to take dot and dab plasterboard finish. They also provide an excellent substrate for lime mortars, renders & plasters.
• PermaSEAL 8 Clear Membranes - can be used for batten & board, behind metal lath systems and false walls, or a plasterboard finish.

Cavity Drain Floor Membranes

An effective system requires a suitable floor cavity drain membrane. These floor membranes tend to have larger stud profiles to cope with large volumes of water ingress.
