Description

Newton Membrane Fixing Plug

The Newton MultiPlug has been designed for use with any of the Newton Membranes in its range but it is generally specified in combination with the 8mm clear or 8mm meshed membranes for basement waterproofing. The 10mm x 60mm Multiplug comes complete with a fitted rubber sealing grommet which when fitted into the wall is expanded by the plug head creating a compressed seal against the membrane stopping any water or damp ingress through the plug hole. These Newton membrane fixing plugs are pre-drilled to accept a size 10 (5mm) self-tapping screw for the fixing of battens or other dry-lining systems.

The Newton MultiPlug is generally fitted at 250mm centres on meshed membranes (15 plugs per m²) or on clear membranes approximately 5 plugs per m².

Please note the Newton Multi plug is not recommend for use on vaulted ceilings. In this situation, we would recommend the use of Nu-Seal Plugs sealed with Waterseal Rope.

Features:

  • Quick fixing self sealing plug
  • Can be used in questionable substrates
  • Can be used on both clear and meshed membranes
  • Manufactured in the UK
  • Part of the Newton 500 system
