PermaSEAL Sump Connector Kit

The PermaSEAL Drainage Channel Sump Connector Kit provides the components required to connect a PermaSEAL basement drainage system to a PermaSEAL sump pump chamber. It creates a direct route for water collected by the drainage channels to enter the sump, ready to be pumped safely away from the structure.

Designed for Type C cavity drain waterproofing systems, the kit can be used with PermaSEAL Drainage Channel and PermaSEAL Floordrain. It provides a convenient solution at the point where the channel system meets the sump, with the flexible pipe making it easier to accommodate the final connection between the two.

How does the sump connector work?

The drainage adaptor fits onto the end of the PermaSEAL Drainage Channel or Floordrain. The 63mm flexible pipe then connects the adaptor to the PermaSEAL sump pump chamber, passing through the wall flange installed in the side of the chamber.

This provides a controlled path for water from the perimeter or cross-floor drainage system into the sump, helping keep the drainage route clear and directing collected groundwater to the pump system.

Installing the sump connector

Position the drainage outlet at a suitable low point in the drainage run so that collected water can flow towards the sump chamber. Fit the PermaSEAL Drainage Channel Adaptor to the drainage channel or Floordrain and use Newton Mastic to seal the joint between the channel and connector. Connect the 63mm flexi-pipe and route it to the PermaSEAL sump pump chamber.

Cut a 95mm diameter inlet hole in the sump chamber for the supplied 63mm wall flange. A Dart HC95 Hole Cutter is suitable for creating the required opening. Fit the wall flange and connect the 63mm flexi-pipe to complete the drainage connection.
