Flexible Waterproof Tape

PermaSEAL PRO Flexible Jointing Tape is based on reinforced flexible polyolefin (FPO) and contains two outer layers of polypropylene with a thermoplastic elastomer coating, resistant to ageing. Suitable for sealing and reinforcing junctions internally and externally when sandwiched between two layers of PermaSEAL PRO MP 2C flexible waterproof coating. PermaSEAL PRO Flexible Jointing Tape is able to cope with water under pressure, and has good resistance to chemicals and UV exposure.

Uses

Our flex seal tape is primarily used to provide extra protection in areas prone to movement such as wall/floor junctions, construction joints, cracks and general waterproofing applications that require extra resistance and flexibility. Here are some of the common areas of use:

• Below ground external waterproofing
• Basements
• Swimming pools
• Wet rooms
• Balconies and terraces

Applying PermaSEAL PRO Flexible Jointing Tape

Apply PermaSEAL PRO MP 2C as a base layer, to a minimum 2mm thickness and minimum 75mm width, to both sides of the joint/crack. Then immediately embed the flexible joint tape into the wet layer, making sure to press out any trapped air with a roller or with the trowel by carefully pressing in a motion away from the joint. Allow the base layer to firm before applying the second and third waterproofing coats across the entire surface to the normal PermaSEAL PRO MP 2C specification.

Important note: Ensure the flexible jointing tape is clean and free from any debris or dirt before application. Wipe the material with a clean, damp cloth if necessary.
