Wykamol CM8 Waterproofing Membrane (formerly Triton TM8 Cavity Drain Membrane 40m²) is a tough and economical cavity drain membrane suitable for both remedial and new build construction. As a tanking membrane, it is ideal for below-ground applications, including Type C basement waterproofing systems. When used within a cavity drainage design alongside a sump pump, the 8mm stud profile allows water to drain away safely and effectively.

The membrane is primarily used on walls but can also be installed on floors. Wykamol CM8 can be used above ground to isolate walls affected by damp or salt contamination.

Manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), Wykamol CM8 is impermeable to water and resistant to common building materials and chemicals.

Installing a Wykamol CM8 Membrane

Wykamol CM8 is easy to install. Despite its toughness, the membrane remains pliable, allowing it to be preformed around corners. It can be cut to size on site using a knife or scissors.

You can finish the membrane with or without an independent stud wall. By using Wykamol CM Brick Plugs, the membrane can be secured before batten and board installation.

Alternatively, it can be installed as part of a floating dry board system on floors, which can be insulated prior to adding a plasterboard finish. Fixtures, fittings, walls and staircases can be built off the membrane (seek technical advice for structural or load-bearing walls). When used as part of a floor build-up, insulation, underfloor heating, screed and floating floors can all be accommodated.
