PermaPROTECT Passive Air Vent 150mm (Telescopic)

£35.00 Ex VAT
£42.00 Inc VAT

A higher-capacity 150mm telescopic passive air vent for walls from 300mm to 550mm thick. Part F compliant and adjustable without cutting, with no electricity or moving parts required.

150mm Telescopic Passive Air Vent for Thicker Walls

The PermaPROTECT Passive Air Vent 150mm (Telescopic) provides effective background ventilation through walls between 300mm and 550mm thick. Its telescopic duct adjusts to the required wall width without cutting, providing a convenient solution for thicker walls where a standard-length duct may not be suitable.

The vent uses natural air and vapour pressure differences to help remove moisture-laden air without fans, electrical components or moving parts. Its vapour-permeable membrane allows moisture to pass outwards while helping to prevent unwanted draughts entering the room.

Greater passive ventilation capacity

With a free area of 11,440mm² and maximum water vapour transmission of 2–2.6 litres per 24 hours at 20°C, the 150mm model provides greater passive ventilation capacity than our 100mm version. It is manufactured from high-impact polypropylene and complies with Part F of Schedule 1 of the Building Regulations 2010.

If the larger 150mm unit isn't required for your project, see the more compact Perma-Vent Condensation Control Vent 100mm (Telescopic).

Alternatively, for walls where an adjustable duct isn't required, see the standard PermaPROTECT Passive Air Vent 150mm, supplied with a 350mm cut-to-length duct.

What’s included?

  • 150mm telescopic duct adjustable from 300mm to 550mm
  • Anti-draught vapour-permeable membrane
  • White internal grille with fly screen
  • External grille with fly screen in your selected colour
  • Installation instructions

The external grille is available in white or terracotta.

Installing the 150mm Telescopic Passive Air Vent

Carefully select a position on an external wall, checking for water and soil pipes, electrical wiring and other potential obstructions. The vent should generally be installed around 150mm to 300mm below the ceiling, helping rising moisture-laden warm air to move out of the room. Where possible, choose an external wall that is less exposed to prevailing wind.

Installation requires a 162mm core drill. The core hole should slope slightly downwards towards the exterior of the wall, to a maximum of 1.5° from horizontal, helping prevent moisture or rainwater running inwards.

Measure the wall thickness and adjust the telescopic duct to the required length between 300mm and 550mm. No cutting of the duct is required.
