What’s included:
- 150mm x 350mm duct with internal breathable membrane
- White internal grill with flyscreen
- External grill with flyscreen in a choice of colours
- Installation instructions
Benefits
With no moving parts or electrical elements, PermaPROTECT Passive Vent is simple to install, effective, and affordable. Maintenance is limited: you can periodically clean the vent with a vacuum and damp cloth to remove any build-up of dust. As soon as it is installed, the vent will start to work on reducing condensation and preventing mould growth. It also improves the air quality of your home, with a contemporary discreet design.
Installation
The vent should be located on an external wall around 150mm to 300mm from the ceiling. This helps maximise the impact of thermal buoyancy, allowing rising moisture-laden warm air to be displaced from the room. Ideally, when you have a corner room, you want to pick the external wall that is least impacted by wind. Seal around the vent with mastic sealer.
