The PermaSEAL PRO Dual Pump & Backup System is a complete, high-spec basement pumping solution designed to provide both mechanical redundancy and protection against mains power failure.

This integrated kit combines:

• Newton Victron MultiPlus Inverter/Charger
• Newton 60Ah VRLA Telecommunications Battery

Together, these components provide a layered protection approach, combining dual pump redundancy with automatic battery backup to reduce the risk of basement flooding.

Already have a pump system? The battery backup components are also available separately as the Newton Victron Battery Backup Kit (60Ah) for upgrading existing installations.

Under normal operating conditions, the system operates on a duty/standby principle. The primary pump manages standard inflow, while the secondary pump is set to activate at a higher level in response to increased water ingress or primary pump failure.

In the event of mains power failure, the Victron MultiPlus inverter automatically converts stored 12V DC battery energy into stable 230V AC power in under 20 milliseconds, ensuring continued pump operation without interruption.

This system therefore mitigates two of the most common causes of basement flooding (pump failure and power outage) and can form part of a considered risk reduction strategy in line with BS8102:2022 guidance.

Additional compatible batteries can be connected in parallel to increase available capacity and extend pumping duration during prolonged outages.
