High strength epoxy resin crack filler for repairing cracks, pinholes and surface defects in concrete floors and a range of horizontal applications.

Concrete Crack Repair Epoxy

PermaCOAT Epoxy Crack Filler is a two-component, high-strength epoxy resin filler for repairing small cracks and defects. It’s suitable for repairing cracks in most concrete applications, including garage and warehouse floors, steps, paving and patios.

Our solvent-free filler seals everything from fine cracks and pinholes to 20mm deep voids. Defects deeper than 20mm need to be built up in layers.

The product is a light grey colour to help blend with concrete and subsequent grey PermaCOAT epoxy coatings. Our epoxy floor filler is low viscosity, allowing for easy pouring and distribution into cracks.

Uses

Our PermaCOAT Epoxy Crack Repair Filler is an important part of any concrete floor repair project. Suitable for DIY installations and professionals alike, here are some of the common uses:

  • Surface filling for epoxy coatings
  • Small hole repair
  • Step repair
  • External concrete repair

Applying PermaCOAT Epoxy Crack Filler

Our concrete crack repair filler has been formulated with both DIYers and tradespeople in mind. High-quality finishes are easily achievable, with little experience required. Always follow the application instructions carefully, for great results every time. Here’s an overview:

Preparation

The substrate must be dry and free from oil, grease, dust and dirt, as well as any moss or algae. Prepare the concrete by scabbling or grit blasting to remove any friable and loose material, or by wire brush if the crack is wide enough. Clean the crack with compressed air and vacuum to remove loose material.

Important note: Avoid cleaning the substrate with detergents as these can interfere with the initial bond.

Mixing

PermaCOAT Epoxy Crack Filler is a two-component system consisting of a resin base and hardener. Always ensure the full contents of each container are mixed together fully, as they are pre-weighed for optimal performance. For this reason, do not part mix batches.

Using a mixer attached to a slow-speed electric drill, mix for approximately two minutes. Carefully follow the data sheet mixing instructions and transfer the contents to a suitable container. Ideally, your final pouring container will have a lip for accuracy.

Applying

PermaCOAT Epoxy Crack Repair Filler should be applied soon after mixing is complete. To ensure larger cracks and voids are evenly filled, pour slowly and consistently. The slower the pour, the more accurate your filling will be. With the help of a squeegee you can spread the epoxy filler over fine cracks and pinholes.

Important note: Any defect deeper than 20mm will need to be built up in layers. Overcoat after approximately 12 hours (refer to the data sheet for exact timings).
