Newton Basement Floor Cavity Drainage Membrane - 8mm

Newton 508 Eco is a popular basement floor Membrane. It is the most widely used floor membrane in the Newton System 500 for ‘Type C’ basement waterproofing. Newton 508 features 8mm cavities that provide good drainage capacity without adding too much height to the basement floor. 

The 508 eco floor membrane is made entirely from recycled HDPE plastic.

If you require high drainage capacity due to an increased risk of large volume water ingress and flooding - consider the Newton 520 Eco. 

Uses of Newton 508 Eco

Newton 508 is a basement floor membrane that forms part of Newton System 500 - a ‘Type C’ basement waterproofing system. It is designed for waterproofing earth-retaining structures below ground.

It can be used as a wall or floor membrane in the following scenarios.

  • Cellars / Basements
  • Vaults
  • Tunnels
  • Arches

Installing Newton 508 Eco

Newton 508 is quick and easy to install. Follow manufacturer’s installation instructions around the Newton System 500. This basement floor membrane should be installed along with drainage channels and a Newton sump pump system to provide protection for property owners. 

Finishing: Once the membrane has been installed you need to protect it with a screed, a timber floor on a fixed lattice, insulation or underfloor heating.
