Why use PermaCOAT?
There are countless epoxy products on the market, so we’ve done all we can to ensure that our range offers superior performance. From concrete repair and preparation to attractive coatings that protect against chemicals, we’ve listed the top five benefits of PermaCOAT epoxy flooring below.
High performance protection
Epoxy flooring is known for its protective qualities, but the unrivalled performance of PermaCOAT is what makes our products stand out. Each product in our range delivers in all settings, leaving you with a seamless, long-lasting finish each and every time.
Our PermaCOAT PRO High Build Epoxy Floor Coating, for example, offers a significantly thicker build than our standard epoxy coatings – typically around four times thicker per coat, depending on application. For concrete fixes, Epoxy Repair Mortar has exceptional physical properties for concrete slabs as well as pothole, ramp and step repairs.
For durable flooring that withstands high traffic, chemical spillages or equipment like forklifts and other vehicles, PermaCOAT is the ideal solution. Our epoxy products are formulated specifically for demanding environments like warehouses and workshops, meaning that they’re hardwearing and will last for years to come.
Fast service, fast application
Epoxy DPMs are one of the fastest methods of damp proofing concrete – but we’ve made it even faster, with one coat application, reducing disruption to business hours.
Our rapid-curing PermaCOAT PRO One Coat Epoxy DPM is walkable in just 4–6 hours (at 20°C), and with only one coat needed, it rapidly speeds up project times for maximum efficiency. Simply prepare the surface and apply.
For even more speed, Permagard offer fast delivery – same day dispatch before 2pm and 1–3 day turnaround time. All of our stock is in our Avonmouth warehouse just off the M5, meaning no waiting for intermediaries. We also offer 15-minute collections from our trade counter – ideal if you’re nearby. Like epoxy application and curing times, deliveries can hinder your project, so we’ve done all we can to smooth out the process where possible.
Low maintenance
While epoxy is known for its simple application, many may struggle to maintain that glossy finish once the job is done. This isn’t a concern with PermaCOAT. The durability of each product ensures a smooth, glossy finish that will last for years to come.
There’s no staining or discolouration from chemical spillages (provided that they’re cleaned up quickly) and the coating maintains its appearance well in typical indoor environments. This means no cracks or patches, and the concrete beneath remains dust-free.
Cost-effective
Purchasing epoxy primers and coatings can feel like quite an investment at first, and if poorly installed or maintained, repair costs can add up. PermaCOAT helps minimise frequent flooring maintenance and damp issues. These professional-grade products are available at low trade prices, saving you both time and money in the long run.
The lifespan of each product will vary depending on the environment, but they’re tough enough to withstand years of foot traffic, equipment and spills. Our Epoxy Floor Coating typically lasts 2–3 years plus in industrial settings, while the High Build Epoxy Floor Coating typically lasts 3–4 years plus.
The fast installation and curing processes also help cut down on costs. Less downtime means quicker turnarounds, plus minimal repairs or maintenance to factor in.
